Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is hiring an Office Specialist II for the AgeWell Department in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position working a Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm shift at the Nocatee AgeWell Clinic.

The Office Specialist II will support the AgeWell Department to accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information. This position requires an individual who can multitask and obtains excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills and a previous experience in clerical work.

Office Specialist II, AgeWell Department, Job Responsibilities

• Provides business services for patients and the healthcare system.
• Reviews and follows up on unpaid insurance claims, processes mail on a daily basis, works with insurance carriers and Baptist Primary Care Centers.
• Duties include patient registration, posting charges and payments, telephone protocols and assisting patients as needed.
