The Paralegals will assist attorney(s) by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; interviewing staff members; research, investigations, and fact checking; discovery preparation and response and trial preparation support.

Responsibilities

• Meets with attorney, clients, and other professional to discuss assigned cases or projects
• Develops and maintains electronic records relative to cases and files.
• Drafts legal documents including routine pleadings and motions; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
• Assists attorney with trial preparation, which may include attending trial and hearings.
• Keep in contact with client throughout the life cycle of the case.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Understanding of legal language and principles, or other related matters.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Familiarity with Smokeball, or other case management software.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise good judgement.
• Spanish speaking is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to function well in a high paced environment.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented
• 1-3 years experience
• Associates of Science Degree in Paralegal and/or Legal Studies or any other higher education (i.e. Bachelors Degree)
