Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Lead Paralegal to support our legal departments in litigation duties. This is a mid-level position.


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents: motions, pleadings, notices of deposition, mediation, and additional tasks as required.
  • Filing in the Florida Courts e-Filing portal.
  • Ability to complete audits of approximately 50-100 cases correctly and efficiently.
  • Calendaring, scheduling, communicating specific and accurate data.
  • Conduct research to support legal proceedings.
  • Investigate facts to help in the resolution of legal disputes.
  • Record and store client information.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Filevine used daily.


Qualifications:


  • Deadline-oriented and detail-oriented.
  • Three years of Civil Litigation experience required.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask is essential.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Previous knowledge in Filevine or similar CMS.
  • Familiarity with legal research required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite.
  • Experience training a team of support staff.
  • Experience working in the e-filing portal is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
