Compensation: $70k-$75k annual base salary + unlimited commission structure
(Expected 1st year commission: $12k-$36k)
Our Client
For the past 25 years, our client, a cable management and low voltage accessory manufacturer, has been pioneering smart, innovative solutions for home theater HDMI® cables/extenders and data/telecom connectivity solutions. They are the industry leader in cable management solutions and are known as the manufacturer who listens to customers and delivers reliable and affordable products. With over 10 patents, they understand that unique needs require unique solutions. Our client designs and engineers their products to meet the individual needs of the people who use them.
They are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow their wholesale channel business. To be a good fit for this position you must be a great listener, driven, curious, resourceful, and always follow-through. You will understand the big picture while simultaneously executing on a tactical level. You must also be proactive and align with company values of: Disciplined Thought and Disciplined Action, Have a Sense of Urgency, Be Creative When Solving Problems, Know the Why, and Collaborate with Your Resources.
The Work
- Negotiate contract/pricing terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders
- Develop and execute your own system for consistent, structured outreach and follow-up
- Anticipate clients’ needs to avoid potential obstacles to achieving total client satisfaction
- Lead client through consultation, sale, and post-sale follow-up while instilling trust and building long-term relationships
- Report directly to the Director of Sales who wants to help you succeed
- Adeptly manage the complexities that come with channel sales (via distributors) as well as DTC sales directly to contractors and project managers
- Manage the sales cycle from start to finish
- Generate leads to build the channel sales pipeline and convert prospects into deals

Requirements & Skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage a sales funnel process to get to a “yes”
- Knowledge of Sage and Active Campaign highly useful
- Candidates with deep knowledge of low voltage, home automation or related field plus a strong desire to work in sales are also encouraged to apply
- Strategic and tactical thinker
- At least 2 years of channel sales experience preferred
- College degree nice but not necessary
