NETZSCH Pumps USA is growing and looking for a motivated, mechanically-inclined individual to work as a Territory Sales Representative covering the Pacific Northwest region of the US. The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for managing the direct sales activities of the assigned territory. This position reports to the Western Regional Sales Manager and it is required that the individual assuming this role lives in the greater Seattle, WA Metropolitan area or Portland, OR Metropolitan area.
While managing sales activities within the territory with the ultimate goal of increasing market share penetration at profitable levels, the Territory Sales Representative will perform the following duties among others:
- Ability and willingness to assist customers with their pump install base in the event of operational emergencies.
- Make direct sales calls to build relationships with key industrial customers in the region.
- Provide the Company with market trends, sales growth strategies and competitive intelligence. Participate in marketing activities as required.
- Sell NETZSCH pumps, grinders, spare parts and service into the industrial markets to meet or exceed territory sales revenue plan as established by the Regional Sales Manager and NETZSCH Pumps management.
- Provide required training to industrial customers and participate in pump start-ups and troubleshooting.
- Manage all project activity in the assigned territory, including product offerings, and establish direct sales strategy while following Company policies and objectives.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have previous experience selling industrial equipment, preferably positive displacement pumps. In addition, candidates should have:
- The ability to travel to all states in the assigned territory as needed to achieve sales goals.
- Located in the Seattle, WA metro area or Portland, OR metro area.
- Willingness to travel 70-80% of the time, including local area sales calls that do not require overnight stays.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- The ability to have related business and technical discussions as well as the ability to speak in front of groups.
- A degree in engineering or related technical field preferred.
