Job Description
Bobcat of Huntsville is a full-service Bobcat dealership. We provide new and used compact equipment for sale and rental. We also provide genuine Bobcat parts, and complete service. Bobcat of Huntsville is your dealer for all your decorative concrete products and supplies. Bobcat of Huntsville is seeking a dynamic outside sales professional to sell Bobcat Compact Construction Equipment. An agricultural or construction equipment selling background is a must for this growing division. If you are committed to providing outstanding customer service, have worked selling construction or agricultural equipment for 3-5 years, we'd like to get to know you! Responsibilities
  • Keep management informed of significant developments in the territory including lost orders
  • Make sales calls to larger construction job sites, construction offices and industrial sites in the assigned territory.
  • Use company-approved technology and programs to maintain database of customers, and customer calling schedule.
  • Study construction job reports to determine where major jobs are; when they will be starting; and who will be the general contractor on the job.
  • Secure orders; conduct surveys of assigned territory as directed; make presentations; point out the benefits of the equipment; emphasize the advantages of working with this company.
  • See that equipment is correctly delivered and meets all of the conditions of the sale; takes action to render prompt service in case of any deficiencies.
  • Help take on customers problems, provides technical assistance as needed.
  • Know the work going on and to be done, and promote the entire company including parts, service, rental, and supplies.
  • Maintain familiarity with new products developed by suppliers.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, specifically the Sales Policy Manual
  • Promote our products, demonstrate rentals, and prospect for leads
  • Contact the contractor by telephone and mail prior to job starting.
  • Attend all sales meetings, training, and trade shows, as requested
  • Develop relationships, build confidence and call on assigned customers regularly to win their business.
  • Responsible for loading, hauling and unloading of equipment and components (Bobcat only)
Qualifications
  • Good communication skills and safe work habits
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of equipment operations
  • Organizational ability to schedule and follow-up dedications and meet deadlines
  • Must be outgoing, reliable, and a problem solver with strong interpersonal communications skills
  • Conform with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion drug screens, as required by DOT
  • Strong background and experience in operating construction equipment is required.
  • Strong driving and equipment operator skills and knowledge of DOT compliance
  • Commercial Driver’s License (preferred, not required)
  • Sense of urgency and high work ethic
  • Typing and use of computer for quotation generation
  • Ability to cold call new sales leads
