The Role
Strong technical skill level working on complex assignments within the network systems installation and/or maintenance activities.
Working Schedule: We expect the work schedule to be 3 evenings per week. “The weekend night shift” Friday – Sunday 6:00PM - 7:20AM CDT This is a 24 x 7 x 365 Operations environment and will include opportunities to work holidays and to cover shifts outside your normal schedule. Alternative shift opportunities will become available over time and are offered up on a basis of seniority to existing team members first. Overtime may be required at times when no volunteers are available. Overtime pay rates will apply 1.5x for hours over 40.
NOTE: This is a full-time 3 day workweek: Friday – Sunday 6:00PM - 7:20AM CDT
The Main Responsibilities
- Investigate and provide timely updates to/from relevant parties (internal and external) to meet our customer service obligations.
- Identify resolve and escalate issues according to procedural documentation and training.
- Handle inbound customer and vendor calls.
- Proactively Monitor Customer and Infrastructure network environments and take action when appropriate.
- Open, update, and manage Customer Trouble Tickets, Admin Requests, and Changes throughout their life cycle.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Previous enterprise, IT, or Service provider experience
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with other technologists and business partners to maintain high service levels in a demanding environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment both in person and remotely
- Ability to quickly adapt to advancing technology and procedural changes
- Associate degree, equivalent education, technical certification or relevant technical experience
- Proven incident and problem-solving (troubleshooting) skills with an emphasis on timely resolution
