Operations Support Technician Jobs

Maintains production equipment readiness, minimizing equipment downtime, to support production requirements; supports Production departments by reviewing test data, confirming failures, making test routine modifications as needed. Performs electrical testing and performs Up-Screen testing as required.

Key Position Responsibilities And Accountabilities

Performs troubleshooting and repair, calibration and preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical test equipment, as well as test socket maintenance and repair. Performs set ups and changeovers of automated test handling equipment. Identifies and purchases spare parts and arranges third-party repair and calibration services. Resolves product testing issues; assists in determining root cause and researches and implements solutions. Assists in failure confirmation by using curve tracer and other equipment. Reviews test data to understand failures of guard banded vs. QC specification failures. Performs Up-screen testing, and data package documentation as required. Assists with electrical testing as required. Assists in researching equipment options, purchasing, installing and setting up new equipment. Uses computer system to update and maintain all electrical and mechanical test/production equipment records, such as calibration, PM, and equipment inventory. Prepares, maintains, and updates technical documentation for all test/production equipment. Interfaces with production supervisors, engineers, technicians, operators, and others to identify potential equipment problems, including safety hazards.

Education And Experience Requirements

Associate degree in Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical certification. 3 years hands on experience with product/test equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. A combination of education and experience may be considered for individuals who possess the technical knowledge and skills to perform electrical and mechanical equipment repair. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
