Summary
The Vendor Liaison Group serves as the single point of contact for approved vendor contracts and vendor compliance for the Operations organization. Responsible for vendor oversight, vendor execution, and strategic oversight for vendors providing services to operations, onshore/offshore staff augmentation, and other forms of operational engagement services, as well as the vendor needs for other business organizations.
Transamerica may offer positions at different job levels including, but not limited to, base, intermediate, senior, lead, etc. Offers will be based on candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
This position is available in various functions: Case Management, Customer Call Center & Service Support.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with management in developing internal and external (vendor) SLAs and metrics necessary for monitoring the results of vendors.
  • Work with various organizations for the completion of procurement, on-boarding and payment processing activities.
  • Monitor the results and identify needed improvements through request for feedback.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining successful working relationships with vendor representatives.
  • Develop company guidelines and best practices for vendor management and viability measures.
  • Work with legal and organization management to drive contractual or legal agreements through negotiation to final execution.
  • Assist in ongoing management and oversight for vendor contracts once executed.
  • Help with analyzing vendor performance data on a regular basis and perform follow up activities to ensure vendors adhere to company quality measures.
  • Serve as the liaison between organization management and vendors to ensure vendor partners are effectively managed and contracts are fully leveraged.
  • Work with management to determine internal and external (vendor) reporting requirements and enforce the delivery of accurate and timely information.
  • Participate in regular performance reviews with vendors and communicate needed improvements.
  • Assist the organization in the application of vendor selection criteria processes and develop the RFP.
  • Develop opportunities to influence strategic vendor direction/initiatives to ensure they are aligned with the needs of the organization and drive year over year performance improvements from these vendors.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Minimum 0-2 years’ experience in a vendor liaison/management or similar role.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and effectively lead discussions.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
  • Strong preference for prior Transamerica experience and/or knowledge of Transamerica Operations
  • Experience in vendor pricing methods such as rate cards and pricing methodologies. Knowledge of industry best practices in contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and manage vendor management processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of vendor management concepts and implementation techniques including contract negotiation and vendor performance monitoring.
  • Ability to prepare and effectively lead negotiation sessions.
Working Conditions:
  • Your working location designation is Remote. Remote means that you will not be expected to work from a Company office location on a routine basis. When not working in a Company office location, you will be expected to work from your home or other approved workspace in the U.S.

  • Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable pay transparency and compensation posting laws. It is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.** 
The salary for this position generally ranges between $65,500 - $87,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.  
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company discretion.
