Operations Supervisor - Structural

• Must be able to pass a proficiency exam during interview process.
• Must be able to qualify and maintain Fall Arrest Protection certification.
• Will supervise technical work execution, quality, cost, schedule, continuous improvement and lessons learned.
• Must be able to qualify and maintain VT 3.10 qualification.
• Must possess strong leadership and analytical, causal analysis, communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills under minimal supervision.
• Must possess energetic, positive attitude and be willing to change, develop and adapt as the requirements of the assigned tasks dictate.
• Must be able to qualify and maintain the EB Heavy Metals Program requirements.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher.
• Will have the ability to use NAVSEA/SP ships drawings, technical manuals, ship system manuals and various other documents in the performance of this task is a must.
• Must be able to qualify and maintain Respiratory Protection certification.
• Knowledge of SP/SSP's, MDP's/MDD's, SI's, SDD's, and DI's is a plus.
• Will Ensure EB practices, means and methods are taught and employed during performance of the work and will be active in guiding and mentoring.
• May be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Shift work and emergency overtime may be required.
• Must have the ability to set, assign, and measure daily production goals, provide technical expertise, instruct, mentor and motivate crew.
• Must be able to qualify and maintain Lifting & Handling / Industrial Trucks certification.

Required:

• Ability to use NAVSEA/SP ships drawings, technical manuals, ship system manuals and various other documents in the performance of this task
• Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Cornerstone, ERS/EWP, MRPII, and Microsoft Outlook
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years working in an industrial marine environment
• Proficient in blueprint and drawing interpretation
• Must be available to work all shifts, split shift, including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictate
• Minimum 3 years of structural shipyard construction experience in shipfitting, welding, and fabrication

Preferred:

• Experience with Ship’s Drawings, SSPs, SPs, MDDs, Technical Manuals, Welding Technique Sheets, EWP, ERS, ERs, NDT, DIs, and Sis
• 5+ years supervisory experience
• Welding, NDT, Electrical, RADCON, and QA experience in maritime environment
• Prefer VT 3.10 qualification, or have the ability and knowledge to obtain qual
