Job Description
Fitter/Welder- Sterling Heights MI.
  • Longevity: Long -Term
  • Night Shift: Monday thru Saturday - Start Time: 4:00pm/4:30pm End Time: 2:00/2:30 am Saturdays- 4:00pm 10:00pm/12:00am Hours will change depending on workload
Summary
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Burn stock to print as required.
  • Tack weld details together using predetermined dimensions (blue print, sketch, and verbal line-up).
  • Process sub-details that need pre-machining or holes drilled prior to assembly.
  • Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement
  • Perform maintenance on equipment or machinery as required. Inform supervisor if equipment or machinery fails or requires repairs beyond capabilities.
  • Must be able to fabricate sub-details together according to the customer supplied print sketch or verbal instruction to the specified dimensions to construct a weldment. Knowledgeable in print reading, dimensional accuracy, and various forms of bending and welding. Able to run all FAB department equipment.
  • Keep an updated materials and supply inventory.
