Operations Research Analyst Jobs

Amentum is seeking an Operations Research Analyst at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA) Virginia to assist with systems and technical engineering services. This position is contingent on contract award.

Using your prowess and experience, help our customer define, document, and follow an open systems approach using modular design, standards-based interfaces, and widely supported consensus-based standards in hardware, software, subsystems, and elements that comprise the specific system.

Responsibilities:

• Tests and validates models and results.
• Collects and analyzes data to evaluate operations and processes and to facilitate complex decision-making.
• Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
• Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
• Prepares reports that outline and rank proposed solutions and present a range of possible alternatives.
• Follows established modeling and evaluation methodologies to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities, isolate problem areas and develop solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics or related field.
• Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
• In lieu of degree, 10 years of experience in operational analysis, evaluating systems and proposed solutions, experience analyzing and documenting business processes and workflows, experience using Industry standard methods and models for determining solutions with at least two (2) years full-time and experience with Navy Training Systems.
• At least six (6) years of full-time professional experience in operational analysis, evaluating systems and proposed solutions, experience analyzing and documenting business processes and workflows, experience using Industry standard methods and models for determining solutions with at least two (2) years full-time and experience with Navy Training Systems.
