Job Description

George Thomas are working with a leading home fashion brand based in New Jersey.


We are actively recruiting for an Operations Manager to work onsite in their warehouse in Monroe, New Jersey.


Major Responsibilities

Operations:

• Oversee the warehouse manager who has a team of non-exempt employees.

• Supervise the operations of staff to achieve objectives.

• Manage flow of goods in the following areas: shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.

• Responsible for ensuring customer orders are properly fulfilled regarding quantity, quality,

and time.

• Identify and communicate recommendations to improve operations and safety.

• Ensure productivity standards are met.

• Supervise Inventory Control and Cycle Counting Program.

• Ensure Replenishment is completed timely.

• Oversee Import activities are completed to ensure smooth flow of goods and delivery to

warehouse(s).

• Oversee Shipping Department activities are completed timely and all routing is completed in

advance of cut off.


People:

• Establish and sustain that all associates are trained and competent and understand how their

work relates to the customers' business objectives.

• Establish and sustain that we recruit, hire, train, develop and retain quality associates.


Qualifications

• 3+ years managerial or supervisory experience

• High School degree or equivalent required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.

• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required.

• Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills with

follow-up and follow through.
