Operations Data Analyst - Budget & Finance

Position Summary

Premise is growing, and we are looking to add an Operations Data Analyst - Budget & Finance to the Business Operations Team.

• This is an onsite position that is based out of our Washington DC, San Francisco or New York offices.

What You Will Do

• Support the operations of various teams by analyzing and providing insights on financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Identify gaps in our finance tracking systems and provide recommendations to narrow divides to provide a comprehensive view on our finances.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including spend forecasting and expense & budget analysis to track anomalies, and provide recommendations to relevant teams for process improvement and cost optimization.
• Build, maintain, and socialize tools to monitor operational spend for each operational function.
• Act as our in-house expert for managing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Product teams to understand data requirements and identify opportunities for analysis and optimization of financial reporting.
• Utilize SQL and other relevant tools to extract, clean, and transform large and complex datasets into easily digestible tables for analysis.
• Liaise with our Finance and Accounting Team to monitor and analyze financial data, identifying patterns and trends, and build custom reports.

What You Bring Along

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Data Science or a related field.
• Solid understanding of financial analysis concepts
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to transform complex and unstructured data into actionable insights.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
• Proficient in data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Experience conducting data analysis with Microsoft Excel
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic start-up environment.

• Experience in working with cross functional teams
• 1-2 years of professional experience in a finance or business operations role conducting analysis on revenue, expenses, profitability, and financial modeling.
• Experience working with LookerML
• Advanced SQL
• Fluent or advanced Spanish
