Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive individual to join our tiny team as an Operations Coordinator. In this multifaceted role, you will provide crucial support to our logistics and operations department getting things dialed for and during launch. This person will also contribute to marketing, events, and design and development initiatives as they come up. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating logistics including shipping and receiving, managing inventory, supporting marketing campaigns, assisting with event coordination. From time to time there may be design and development opportunities as well if the candidate has an interest in those.The ideal candidate is someone who is up for anything – we are a startup and this dynamic time before launch may mean that every day is different! Someone who is highly organized, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is willing to figure out how to get things done will thrive at Curious Creatures as we grow.

A real passion and knowledge of the MTB world is a major plus!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to marketing, events, and design and development activities.
  • Support marketing initiatives by assisting with content creation, social media management, and campaign tracking.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics, marketing, events, and design and development.
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring logistics operations, including order processing, inventory management, and shipment tracking.
  • Collaborate with the design and development team to provide feedback, contribute ideas, and assist with testing and prototyping. Also very fun – Product testing and input
  • Maintain inventory records and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Assist in the coordination, execution, and attendance of events, including bike races or events, exhibitions, trail workdays etc.You know…the fun stuff!
  • Assist in the planning and execution of our pop up shop!
  • Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and invoices for outbound shipments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics, operations, marketing, events, or design and development. Other start up experience is a plus!
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Shopify a plus!
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in logistics, marketing, events, or design and development is a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software, Shopify, MS Office Suite Especially Excel, and optional design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the CEO and adapt to changing priorities.

Reporting Structure:

This position will report directly to the founder and CEO and will work closely with other departments such as events, finance and marketing.

Location and Working Hours:

The position is based in Bozeman but we can be flexible on where you work. It would be important to come into the Design Studio a few hours a week but others can be spent working from home or over zoom. Part-time hourly starting (10-15hrs/week) with occasional flexibility required for events and special projects.
