Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the operation of a Tyson Transportation Terminal that includes 150+ truck drivers as well as 15+ management and clerical personnel. This position works across a multitude of internal and external business units and facilities.
Daily Responsibilities include:
Driver and asset planning and execution to meet the needs of Tyson Foods’ internal and external customers.
Daily, weekly planning and problem solving is required and a high skill level of communication is a must, both verbal and written.
Team Member development, budget planning and execution.
Additional duties will include (but not limited to) driver payroll, asset maintenance, disciplinary action, DOT compliance, injury and accident investigations,
Our business operates 24/7/365 and Team Member development is key in our success. This will require some work outside of normal business hours.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Computer Skills: Standard computer skills with a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365. Frequently used systems are McLeod LME, TES (Tyson-grown), Power BI, good reporting and analytical skills are a plus
  • Travel: 3-5 domestic trips per year.
  • Experience: 5+ years’ experience preferred; with specialized knowledge in Transportation and Logistics.
  • Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for managing a large group of personnel at various levels who perform different tasks and activities within a single department.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
