As an OCM, you will focus on testing and innovation at Starbucks. You will plan and lead tests of varying complexities and for different business units across the enterprise in support of our partners, customers, and the business.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:


Business Acumen

  • Understands program leads/clients’ perspectives as it relates to specific test assumptions or learning objectives.
  • Supports program leads/clients by applying testing principles to formulate a clear path forward.

Test Planning & Methodology

  • Understands the testing tools available and able to articulate the difference between testing tools

Data Analysis

  • Understands different data analysis tools and how to report out on each metric.

Project Management

  • Prioritizes test planning & deliverables, including leveraging manager as necessary.
  • Owns test status – setting and communicating rationale to key stakeholders.
  • Leads test planning meetings, holds partners accountable for action items, owns meeting follow-ups.
  • Leads tests of varying complexity
  • Delivers test outputs on time and to key stakeholders.
  • Begins to manage through shifting project scope, resources, and timing.
  • Effectively communicates to cross-functional members and stakeholders, and method of communication is appropriate for the content.

Test Planning & Execution

  • Consistently and proactively identifies project needs and fills gaps.
  • Distills insights from timeline to communicate testing implications and risks.
  • Understands and consistently engages cross functional teams required for testing.

Innovative Leadership on Process & Test Methods

  • Willing and open to creating and sharing ideas.
  • Approaches a problem or question from multiple points of view.
  • Begins to demonstrate flexibility in managing ambiguity after internalization of change.

Understands/Influences Others

  • Begins to read the audience, particularly recognizing when partners are struggling with change and actively tailors’ communication and action plan to secure cross-functional alignment.
  • Understand test deliverables and KPIs and clearly articulates to cross-functional team.
  • Appropriately uses support structure and leverages cross-functional relationships to get things done.
  • Structures thinking and communicates in a clear, concise manner, both written and verbal

Assesses Program Risks & Priorities Appropriately

  • Consistently and proactively identifies risks and communicates to the appropriate stakeholders within a timely manner.

Resource Management

  • Conducts and facilitates testing in lab space.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years as an Store Manager
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience with at least 2 years in retail leadership and 3 in implementation/project management)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of retail store operations, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships.
  • Strong ability to organize many complex workstreams to easily understood timeline.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet’s
  • Ability to manage large or highly complex projects.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • If you live in the greater Seattle area, we offer a flexible workplace that allows for hybrid work. This position will be mainly onsite (4+ days) at the SSC location in Seattle
