Job Summary:

Responsible for the timely and accurate onboarding of new hires, rehires, and internal transfers for all regions to ensure clearance of background checks and all requirements for compliance purposes. Effectively delivers service in an efficient and professional manner in order to achieve customer satisfaction, manage expectations, and attain optimal quality. Must meet onboarding timeframes and collaborate with multiple departments throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes any required state regulatory checks not conducted by background check vendor. Provides local HR Market with background checks requested by state auditors in a quick timeframe.
  • Manages day 1 activities for assigned region including check in, badge pictures and I-9 documentation for compliance. Ensures E-Verify and audit completion for system collection of this information per the Homeland Security guidelines.
  • Monitors and provides solutions to potential pushback activities and provide detailed notations if the pushback must occur. Manages pre-adverse process and partners with HR Market and legal for rescinding offers.
  • Addresses projects and escalation tickets as a Tier 2 Workday SME (subject matter expert), as assigned.
  • Collaborates with talent acquisition regarding changes in start dates, new hires, and compliance issue that delay starts. Contacts new hire with push back date if needed.
  • Owns all assigned tasks, initiatives, inquiries, and escalations and makes sure that they are resolved/completed efficiently with a superior level of quality.
  • Performs other duties, projects and escalation tickets in Service Now as a Tier 2 Workday SME, as assigned.
  • Creates new employee welcome roster. Creates new hire welcome letters for new employees containing pertinent login information.
  • Ensures new hire meets minimum requirements for position. Makes sure all required licensures and credentials are uploaded and entered in Workday and properly documented for all hires, including primary sourcing when appropriate.
  • Reviews and manages background checks for hires. Collaborates with each new hire to complete their onboarding tasks, compliance requirements and health screenings prior to starting. Manages new hire inquiries regarding their onboarding process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE

  • One year experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Rare climbing.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
