We are seeking an Onboarding and Enrollment Care Coordinator who is passionate about connecting and engaging new members into the Oshi Health program. As a core member of the clinical team, you will take pride in supporting our mission and drive towards achievement of our member acquisition goals by verifying real time eligibility and ensuring each onboarding appointment is well prepared. You will have access to ongoing training and support from a GI focused team to help you develop an expertise with eligibility and insurance processes and digestive health conditions.


What you’ll do?


  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of care providers (including MDs, NPs, RDs, Behavioral Health Providers, and Health Coaches) to provide a whole-person approach to member care.
  • Develop and maintain positive member relationships through effective and timely communication throughout the enrollment process to ensure successful completion of the initial visit
  • Function as a liaison to strengthen the interaction between healthcare providers and members and their families, effect resolution to issues, and ensure the onboarding visit is well prepared and well utilized.
  • Partner with the Clinical Operations leadership team to define and help iterate on strategies for member care coordination.
  • Drive achievement of member acquisition targets by supporting a high volume of new members in enrolling and scheduling their first appointment through use of various channels: i.e. introductory phone/video calls, Live Chat, SMS, email, and/or in-app chat.
  • Manage key reports and track relevant data to identify successes and drive refinements in operational processes.
  • Openness and ability to cross-train in additional care coordination tasks and responsibilities to support full cycle member engagement.
  • Possess billing and insurance expertise to verify insurance and eligibility for Oshi Health services prior to the initial visit; troubleshoot issues as they arise and effectively communicate with all stakeholders to ensure smooth member onboarding
  • Assess for and address any technical difficulties that could be preventing member enrollment.
  • Ability to own the outcome with timely responses both internally and externally with potential members, appropriate prioritization, and the ability to independently assess the level of communication and outreach required to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Engage new enrollees and potential members: educate them on the onboarding process, program benefits and assist members in overcoming barriers to enrollment such as app download and telemedicine related questions and issues.
  • Communicate and explain the Oshi Health program qualifying criteria to ensure members understand eligibility and cost of care related to internal Oshi services prior to onboarding


Who You Are?


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Background knowledge in navigating health insurance plans and coverage on the part of patients. Must be able to provide breakdown of benefits analysis to consumers.
  • Fluent in healthcare terminology or working understanding of clinical concepts.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience working in a healthcare coordination, care or case management role, preferably in a digital healthcare environment
  • Excellent customer service qualities required.
  • Needs to be able to work in a cross-functional interdisciplinary modality and effectively create solutions for complicated patient concerns.
  • Comfortable and competent with using common administrative technologies (e.g. Zoom, Slack, Office or equivalent), charting electronically in EMR/EHR systems , experience delivering on telehealth platforms preferred.
  • Must be able to work Wednesday through Sunday 8am-4pmEST
  • Completed a degree in a health and science related field, i.e. biology, psychology, health science and nutrition, nursing, etc
