Job Description

Term of Employment

  • This position is hybrid, however, after 2-4 weeks of training, the position will be mostly remote.
  • This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Contract-to-Hire, 6 months
  • Local candidate to only, in person training will be required at the office is located in Columbia, MD and occasional onsite meetings. The schedule for training has not been set.
  • Fixed Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:15 PM


Overview

Our client is seeking additional Credentialing Analysts to join their Provider Data Accuracy Team to support maintaining their Provider files as a result of a mandate put in place last year. This role will accurately maintain all Provider data (including addresses, names changes, etc) within the enterprise-wide Provider file while ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, legal and company requirements and standards. An ideal candidate would have a background in healthcare and/or healthcare insurance claims with the ability to process updates and changes accurately and efficiently with a two-day turnaround time. This role also requires the ability to handle outbound communication to the Providers via phone calls and/or emails any additional data or information that is needed.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time.
  • Previous healthcare / healthcare insurance experience - this can include enrollment, claims, managed care operations and/or customer service.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including: Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel
  • Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Data entry experience and ability to handle quick turnaround times.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with peers, physicians, and medical staff to create confidence, respect and dependability.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field
  • 3+ year of physician credentialing experience or health insurance/managed care operations experience in customer service, claims, and enrollment.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
  • Salesforce experience
