We are seeking a passionate and talented individual to join our team as an On-Air Talent and Social Media Community Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for hosting YouTube videos focused on Los Angeles sports teams and managing our social media platforms to engage and grow our online community. Your primary goal will be to deliver engaging and informative content, build a strong online presence, and foster a thriving community of sports enthusiasts.
Developing YouTube Videos
- Conduct thorough research to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is delivered to the audience.
- Prepare and present high-quality on-air content related to LA sports teams that includes but also goes beyond the typical news, game analysis, player interviews, and other related topics you find in traditional media.
- Collaborate with the production team to create visually appealing videos, ensuring high production value.
- Develop creative and engaging formats, scripts, and segments to captivate viewers and increase video engagement.
Social Media Management
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, fostering positive interactions and building a strong online community.
- Track social media metrics and analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement, and implement strategies to maximize engagement and reach.
- Manage and grow our social media presence across various platforms (e.g., YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) to increase brand visibility and engagement.
- Create and curate compelling content for social media platforms, including photos, videos, polls, and engaging posts that resonate with our target audience.
Community Building
- Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to develop and implement community-building initiatives, such as contests, giveaways, and live streams, to drive user participation and loyalty.
- Conduct research on audience preferences, interests, and behavior to tailor content strategies and improve engagement.
- Research and Analysis
- Engage with the online community by initiating conversations, responding to comments, and fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.
- Stay updated on the latest news, trends, and developments related to LA sports teams, ensuring that content is relevant and timely.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities and stay ahead in the market.
- Actively participate in relevant sports events, games, and fan gatherings to establish personal connections with the community and promote the brand.
- Excellent on-camera presence, public speaking skills, and the ability to deliver content in an engaging and professional manner.
- Experience in hosting, presenting, or broadcasting content, preferably in a sports-related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt content for different platforms and target audiences.
- Extensive experience in managing social media platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) and knowledge of social media management tools.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and ability to use data to inform content strategies and decision-making.
- A genuine passion for sports and an understanding of the nuances and intricacies of the LA sports scene.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and familiarity with camera equipment.
- Strong knowledge of LA sports teams, including the Lakers, Dodgers, Rams, Clippers, Kings, Galaxy, and/or other relevant teams.

Hybrid: Remote/In-Office – Our studio located in South Pasadena, just 15 minutes north ofDodger Stadium. This position will be required to come into the studio a few times during the week to record shows and edit accordingly.
