Job Description

Pay Grade/Pay Range: Based on Qualifications

Department/Organization: 204161 - Student Services

Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: Under moderate supervision, performs general office, administrative and secretarial duties with some variety and complexity. Follows generally prescribed procedures using limited judgment. Typical duties may include receiving, screening and routing telephone calls, mail and visitors, arranging itineraries/agendas, setting up and maintaining files (database and/or hardcopy) typing a variety of material, preparing purchase requisitions, miscellaneous disbursement vouchers, departmental transfer authorizations, travel expense forms, compiling data and preparing reports, maintaining inventory and purchasing office supplies and materials, maintaining budget records, and acting as daily liaison to other offices. Position may supervise student workers or other clerical staff.

Additional Department Summary: Serves as the primary customer service agent for the Arts & Sciences Student Services Center. Performs a variety of administrative tasks associated with the goals and mission of the Arts & Sciences Student Services Center.
Responsibilities include; coordinating appointments for current and prospective students; collaborating with campus partners; facilitating office processes; utilizing software systems; supporting academic advising and pre-professional programs; communicating effectively with office visitors; and managing undergraduate student employees. Some public speaking may be required, and supervisory experience is preferred.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of general office experience; OR Associate's degree or higher.
