Job Description

The Office Administrator will coordinate office activities and operations while providing clerical and administrative support to management. This role will be a hybrid position, working from home and at the HQ location in DC. The person to fill this role will be at the heart of the company, often the go-to person for employees to reach out to for administrative support. This individual will use their creative side to help promote employee morale and take the lead in event planning—Leading Fun! This role is perfect for individuals who are looking for their first GovCon/entry level position and has the potential to grow skills to move into the many different facets of business operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Write and/or review email correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, and develop graphics on behalf of the CEO or other business leaders.
  • Support/manage office organization, repairs, improvements.
  • Support administrative components of the employee experience (recruiting through off-boarding).
  • Maintain equipment inventory lists.
  • Flawlessly manage executive scheduling and calendars, to include logistics, the distribution of meeting invitations and organize agendas.
  • In coordination with Corporate Capture team, support Business Intelligence data gathering through monitoring of such BI sites as eBuy, FedConnect, SAM, Seaport-nxg, etc.
  • In coordination with HR, support employee recognition by tracking service anniversaries and other notable achievements, ordering and supporting office gifts and swag.
  • Lead onsite office management and administration (i.e., onsite services, mail, office supply management, e-mail distribution lists, Holiday Card distribution process).
  • Lead all aspects of event or meeting management to include venues for events, set-up A/V equipment, whiteboards, catering, etc. Events include holiday parties, summer picnics, corporate anniversary events, Philanthropy Events.


Qualifications:


  • At least three years of administrative and clerical experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in office administration or related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of how to operate standard business equipment plus use of search engines and databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • One year experience with event planning
