Lead and manage all aspects of end-to-end delivery for assigned projects within the North America Crop Protection Development project portfolio. Ensure delivery of new Active Ingredient (AI) and Portfolio Life Cycle Management (PLCM) projects in NA CPD in line with strategic drivers, and within agreed timelines, budget, scope, and quality. Engage as a business partner with cross-functional project development forums (regional, global). Ensure adherence to project plans and governance within stage gate plan.


Accountabilities


  • Manage necessary Project and portfolio management IT tools; promote global standards, methodology, tools, and ways of working aimed at managing and reducing complexity and increasing effectiveness and efficiency in operations.
  • Ensure transparency at project and portfolio level; responsible for promoting and facilitating decision-making that is fact-based.
  • Management of resource deployment, risk profile and clarity on project progress and delivery to milestones and budget.
  • Lead regional multi-functional project teams to bring together complete, consistent, and reliable information on projects. Proactively identify, document, and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities to ensure rigorous control of the product development.
  • Ensure strong and effective project management and delivery of the assigned project portfolio via cross-functional collaboration with Product Safety (PS), Product Technology and Engineering (PT&E), Product Biology/Field Development, Regulatory, and Product Marketing.
  • Project governance: lead projects through established stage gate promotion process at Regional and Global Levels. Ensure that all proper documentation for stage promotions are well prepared and archived. Ensure projects obtain the necessary Technical and Business review in advance of governance body review.
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to ensure project pipeline is in line with strategy and its delivery. Key project contact for multiple key functional leaders including Marketing, Regulatory, and Product Biology, among others.


Qualifications


Required:


  • Bachelor’s, MBA or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ work experience in project management; 4-9 years’ work experience overall in Agribusiness or related field. Including a technical role or external experience in agrochemical or relevant industry and cross-cultural/international experience.
  • Travel – occasional travel and includes overnight stay, as needed.
  • Advanced project management training, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent qualification is desirable. Project Management Certification not required but expected within 18 months in role.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
