Description of Work Unit


The Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University is a large academic and research department in the Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering. We currently have twenty faculty members, ninety graduate students, over seventy full-time researchers and postdoctoral fellows, and an outstanding and dedicated support staff, that comprise one of the most research-active units at the university. The department conducts more than $14M in externally sponsored research each year and is nationally ranked near the top of its field.

Position Summary


  • Assist Admin Assistant III with setting up and tearing down events
  • Assist in cleaning out the old Atmospheric Science library. Many books and journals will be recycled or moved to a different location
  • Assist with the relocation of offices from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor and vice versa. Includes packing and moving boxes, furniture, etc. These are faculty, student, and research Scientist offices
  • Scan personnel files in preparation of going paperless. Need old files scanned into our drives.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as needed.


Position Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be available during working business hours
  • Must have transportation to and from the Atmospheric Science Department
  • Must be available to work during the months of June, July and August


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in a professional office setting
