Job Description
Job Title: 3rd Shift - Night Bell Attendant
Pay rate: $14.50-$15.50 / hour plus gratuities
  • $18-22+ per hour based on hour base wage ranging between $14.50-$15.50 per hour + gratuity paid per shift; historically, this position averages gratuity earnings of $4.50 -$7.50 per hour.
SUMMARY: Ensures total guest satisfaction through prompt and efficient service in a courteous and professional manner. Greets, escorts and provides guests with hotel information. Responsible for Shuttle Driver, Host, Bell and Doorman duties after hours.
Essential duties and responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
  • Inspect guest’s room to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate.
  • Available for Valet Parking overnight.
  • Meet and greet all forms of transportation.
  • Off property transportation of guests when needed and authorized by an Assistant Manager.
  • Escort incoming Hotel guests to rooms, assists with luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of Hotel, points of interest and other attractions.
  • Deliver newspapers to guest rooms nightly.
  • Ensure Lobby presence when other staff is on break.
  • Inspect Bell carts for dysfunctions and adequate presentation (including Cottages carts).
  • Transfer recycling to the appropriate bins.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assisting on the closure of the Garage when low occupancy is expected.
  • Answer phones using proper phone etiquette and promptly.
  • Keep consistent records of the activities taking place on the Bell Stand.
  • Keep lobby and entrances free of trash, cigarette butts, etc.
  • Transport guests about premises when regular shuttle service is not operating.
  • Ensure Bell closets and Bell stands are ready for the morning crew.
  • Deliveries including faxes, boxes, letters, gifts and flowers to and from meeting and guest rooms.
  • Smile, welcoming and positive attitude that supports the philosophy of The Broadmoor Hotel.
  • Stand post when not engaged with guest needs.
  • Greet guests by swinging doors.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Math Ability:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the environment is moderate. Some harsh chemicals may be encountered.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time and walk; use hands to handle, point, feel and reach; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to lift up to 25 or 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds with assistance.
