New Graduate -Or- Registered Nurse

Overview:
The RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for patients having a procedure performed in the Operating Room. The RN has advanced training in this area and provides care utilizing the nursing process, therapeutic environment, treatment and diagnostic processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Utilizes Standard Precautions for infection control. Consistently ready and prepared for assigned cases, having all necessary supplies and equipment (in working order) in the OR suite before the arrival of the patient. Ensures pre-op checklist is complete (H&P present, consent signed, test results present, etc.) before patient is taken to the operating room.
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) certification required. Current ACLS certification required. Two years of acute care RN experience and/or approved OR RN training course.
