: Network Engineer (Hybrid Position)

Summary:

As a Network Engineer at Mega Corp Telecom, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to deliver seamless communication services to our customers. This is a hybrid position that involves both remote and on-site work, requiring you to visit customer sites to complete projects on a contract basis. Responsibilities:

1. Design and Implement Network Solutions: Work closely with the engineering team to design and implement network solutions, ensuring high levels of performance, reliability, and security.
2. Network Configuration and Troubleshooting: Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and improve network performance.
3. Customer Site Visits: Conduct on-site visits to customer locations to assess network requirements, install networking equipment, and ensure successful project completion.
4. Network Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance, analyze data, and implement optimizations to enhance network efficiency and reliability.
5. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
6. Documentation: Create and update comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
7. Technical Support: Provide technical support to internal teams and customers, addressing network-related inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
8. Network Upgrades and Expansion: Collaborate with the team to plan and execute network upgrades and expansion projects, keeping up with technological advancements.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are highly desirable.
2. Experience: Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a track record of successful network design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Experience with telecom networks will be an advantage.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), VLANs, VPNs, and IP addressing.
4. Customer-Focused: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers during on-site visits, understanding their needs, and delivering top-notch service.
5. Analytical Thinker: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail in analyzing and diagnosing network issues.
6. Adaptability: The ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
