Position: Network Engineer

Location: Park Ridge IL 60068

Work Set-Up: Hybrid

Required:

• Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently, manage priorities, and complete assignments in a timely manner and meet productivity standards.
• Preferred: Cisco Certified Design professional or Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCDP or CCNP)
• Strong ability to work independently, exercise judgment and creativity in analyzing and solving unusual problems or situations that arise.
• Requires 5 years of experience in infrastructure/network environments performing network engineering (hardware and software) and designing, planning, and implementing LANs, WANs and wireless using the latest technology
• Must be able to sit up to 80% of each workday.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to travel to various sites.
• Proficient keyboarding skills and workstation user proficiency and working knowledge of using MS Office.
• Proficiency in the management of projects.
• Minimum: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Ability to effectively handle customer contacts and problem resolution.
• Knowledge of Network protocols, routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP, wireless security protocols including 802.1x and radius systems, frame relay, and broadband.
• Strong understanding of network systems and architecture and comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines.Advanced technical knowledge and aptitude in the areas of networks, network topologies, wireless, routing, applicable software, and troubleshooting techniques.
• 24x7x365 day on call support required.
• Must be able to lift boxes and/or equipment weighing 60 lbs. or more.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse client population.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Networking monitoring/ configuration tools.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
