Description of Job

Do you want to make our beautiful state even better? At OIT, we provide secure digital services that put Coloradans first. As our new Network Administrator II you will provide advanced technical network communications support. The position possesses functional knowledge pertinent to network (LAN/WAN/Network) communications technologies and is a contributor for the development, testing, implementing, and maintaining of new/existing equipment. Equipment may include but is not limited to routers, switches, wireless access points and controllers, and VoIP technologies. This position recommends, quotes and obtains approval for network and security design changes that affect all supported sites.

You will also diagnose and appropriately handle network outages including during on-call rotation. Resolving these issues in a timely manner requires a combination of technical knowledge to identify and correct the issue or to escalate the issue with the service provider, if necessary. Travel around the state building, configuring, and replacing network equipment within multiple agencies. If using your creativity and innovation in the deployment and upkeep of networking solutions is what you love, apply today for the chance to also put your passion into the state you love.

Hybrid Workplace:
An employee has a set schedule where they work a combination of days at a remote location and days in the State Workplace. The employee may have an assigned workspace or use options such as hoteling to reserve their in-office days. Primary work location for occupational privilege tax is the State Workplace and is also based on where the employee works the majority of the time.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While all offers are compliant with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.

This is a Skills-based Job Announcement. The required minimum qualifications and/or
