Job Description

We book conventions at the Phoenix Convention Center, area resorts & hotels and provide research for the benefit of our members. We are looking for a Sales Coordinator to contribute to the success of the sales teams. If you have strong administrative and customer service skills, are organized, have problem-solving skills, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills, we would like to have a conversation with you!


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales team on sales proposals and presentations
  • Manage contracts and inquiries for tentative and definite groups and events
  • Assist with site inspection preplanning visits and itineraries
  • Communicate with the marketing team about content requested by the sales/services team and convention attendees/groups
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Participate in site visits as needed
  • Prepare sales reports
  • Manage Cvent inquiries
  • Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls or emails promptly


Skills and Education Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams)
  • Well-organized with problem-solving abilities
  • Occasional evenings and weekends
  • Can maintain a positive attitude under pressure
  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and solution-minded
  • Strong writing, editing, and business letter format skills are required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the public and team members
  • CRM experience (Simpleview, experience a plus)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients
  • Hospitality industry experience a plus
