The community you’ll be caring for:
Winter Park: 200 N Lakemont Ave, Winter Park, FL 32792
- Winter Park Memorial Hospital has continuously served the residents of Winter Park and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years
- Over the years the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopaedic Institute
- Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of a handful of Winter Park residents and community leaders, to a 307-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness
The role you’ll contribute: An EKG Monitor Technician works under the direction of the professional nurse providing close surveillance of EKG monitors and communicating the rhythm status to the nurses.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Performs properly and legibly documents in accordance with department policy. Documents in telemetry logbook.
- Recognizes and documents normal EKG patterns. Recognizes abnormal patterns and notifies nursing staff promptly. Maintains telemetry printout during cardiac arrest and as indicated.
- Continuously observes monitors.
- Maintains monitor alarms per policy. Verifies that monitor alarms are set and audible every shift. Troubleshoots monitors as needed.
Qualifications
What You Will Need: Required:
- Monitor technician experience or successful completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent. (Required)
- High school graduate (Preferred)
