Job Description
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
  • Support events coordination and activation, to include consumer and customer events, and small and large trade shows
  • Track and measure results, make recommendations for improvements
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures including IATF-16949 and ISO14000 related policies as applicable
  • Support and help developing motor sports program and annual events
  • The ability to potentially multitask in the Aftermarket group within the different functional areas.
  • Support and help developing a marketing strategy with focus on growth of our family of brands through appropriate communication channels
  • Manage marketing programs as needed (examples include, but not limited to: NGK NTK Gearhouse, Newsletters and Shop Squad)
  • Manage outside vendors on various marketing projects, merchandise initiatives
  • Work with Marketing Management to improve our social media exposure
  • Attend select customer and industry events to keep abreast of trends and topics to enact campaigns to leverage NGK’s leadership role in the industry
  • Work with Sales, Marketing and Product Managers to create effective content for use in all marketing and communication materials, including product flyers, videos, commercials, training, events and more
  • Assist in managing, review, approval and tracking of marketing collateral and advertising calendar
  • Flexibility in being able to work in different areas of marketing, brand, events, social, digital, creative.
Qualifications:
Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing at least the minimum essential functions of the job required
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ability to prepare simple spreadsheets and program analysis
  • 3 years experience in the automotive industry or related field
  • Knowledge of social media tools (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc)
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed (up to 20% of the time)
  • Strong technical automotive knowledge is preferred Good understanding and knowledge of motorsports activities and consumer engagement events
  • A passion for and understanding of brand communications and content
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of trade shows
  • Experience with motor sports, events, advertising, digital communication and/or creative is preferred
  • Experience in leading and managing projects and programs effectively
  • Good marketing/planning and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to drive a car
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to perform business travel by public transportation
  • Ability to communicate verbally
  • Ability to see and hear (correctable)
