Job Description

An established family office based in Manhattan, New York is seeking an Associate / Sr Associate in its Private Equity group to assist with M&A transactions.


In this capacity, you will be responsible for driving sector coverage, deal due diligence and for managing the execution of transactions in collaboration with a highly successful and supportive team. You will gain access to high deal volume and accrue hands-on experience, providing you with the tools to confidently succeed.


Your responsibilities:

• Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research

• Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner

• You will independently lead day-to-day execution work on M&A and other corporate finance transactions

• Providing support to principals and partners in developing and maintaining client relationships, income streams or new business opportunities

• Acting as a mentor and role model to the more junior members of the team


Ideal Profile:

• 3-6 years in investment banking or M&A advisory. The position will be Associate or Senior Associate depending on experience

• Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills

• Knowledge of the logistics or industrials sector is preferred

• Proven deal execution track record through previous hands-on experience

• Good knowledge of compliance, key applicable laws, rules, and regulations


Selection Process & Timeline:

• 1st round technical case study - you will present a financial model and short investment deck on a fictional company

• 2nd round panel interview (1hr) - behavioral interview via Zoom with the hiring team

• final round interview (lunch, or virtual depending on candidate location) with Managing Partner

Compensation:

• Market competitive salary of $125,000 - $175,000 (depending on years of experience) + cash bonus (100-150% range expected for the 1st year), carry eligible after proven success at the firm
