Merchandising Assistant, Video Games

Description:
The Merchandising Assistant works within the Merchandising team on a range of tasks, processes, testing, communication, and other initiatives within the department. The Merchandising Assistant will largely focus on supporting the Merchandising team with vendor onboarding, sku-set up, price changes, reporting, and additional ad-hoc requests. The position will require frequent communication with the Merchandising team, supporting teams, vendors, and distributors.
What will I do?
Assist Merchant with vendor meetings and communication, product analysis, onboarding, reports, and catalog maintenance.
Work collaboratively and form joint partnerships cross functionally and with external vendors to achieve goals, simplify processes, reduce costs, prevent loss, and to ensure that work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
Generate and distribute weekly reports recapping business within the category.
Manage the entire life cycle of a SKU, including but not limited to product imagery, product attributes, and any additional assets.
Work with Merchants to strategize and influence site execution of category offers.
Review the site daily with customer-first mindset; identifying white space and presenting opportunities within to better drive conversion.
Identify discrepancies within internal processes and provide insight into better practices that improve workflow across the organization.
Work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Brand Creative teams to manage, maintain, and oversee the timetable of product launches and the on-site functionality.
Review daily reports, including the receiving summary, FC problem receipt and slow-moving titles report and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
Draft and maintain marketing contracts and implement online marketing initiatives.
Act as a main point of contact for Site Merchandising as related to testing.
Ensure all deadlines are met and other responsibilities as assigned.

Who You Are…
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, merchandising, or related field from an accredited program required; additional education in retail merchandising, buying, marketing, and business analytics preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret meaningful trends from quantitative and qualitative data.
Excellent attention to detail and quality of work.
Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities in fast paced environment
Strong listening, written and oral communication skills.
Strong desire to learn, grow, and engage.
Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
