Job Description

This is a hybrid position based out of our Columbus, OH headquarters. Any out-of-state applicants will be required to travel to the office at least once a quarter.


Your Role:


The Merchandise Planner will be responsible for creating SKU level sales and inventory plans for Victoria’s Secret Global (VSG). They will work with the Manager to provide crucial in-depth sales & inventory analysis, as well as recommendations to the International team, to maximize sales and profitability for VSG and its Franchise Partners.

Your Impact:


  • Develop and evolve merchandise planning processes to accommodate rapid expansion into new international markets.
  • Manage merchandise inventory levels by market through collaboration with cross functional teams.
  • Drive creative thinking that focuses the team on top volume driving ideas and key initiatives.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from cross-functional teams.
  • Develop rapport with partners and build credibility through effective communication.
  • Responsible for creating SKU level sales and inventory plans to achieve topline financial targets.
  • Partner with merchants and cross-functional teams to recommend assortment adjustments.
  • Prepare key sales and inventory reports to support Merchandise Planning Committee meeting (MPC) and other reoccurring sales meetings.
  • Conduct business analysis in-season (standard reporting, test reads, ad hoc) to maximize sales and profit.
  • Align partner inventory expectations with the brand deployment strategy through continuous education of Victoria’s Secret inventory management process.
  • Identify product opportunities and recommend adjustment of shipment receipts and flow based on sales performance.
  • Executes key planning processes related to buys and in season management (PO's, partner allocations, etc.).
  • Partner with cross functional teams (Merchandising, Allocation, Commercial Managers, Operations, etc.) to achieve both financial and merchandising objectives.


Your Experience:


  • 3-5 years of experience in analytical positions such as merchandise planning, inventory deployment, demand forecasting, finance, or logistics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required


Additional Preferred Experience:


  • International experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and customer types/levels.
  • Excellent statistical/quantitative analysis skills.
  • Ability to be a team player and foster a commitment of teamwork among associates.
  • High level of technical proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Excellent communication, prioritizing and problem-solving skills.
