The Forecasting and Demand Planning team within Lockheed Martin's Global Sustainment organization is seeking a Demand Analysis Planner to support the aftermarket Sikorsky and ancillary Rotary and Mission Systems lines of business.

The ideal candidate will have extensive familiarity with forecast development, demand planning and general supply chain management in a large organization. The role entails leveraging demand history, sales trends, market/customer insights and other variables for the creation of forecasts for specific lines of business and the subsequent tailoring of the forecast into a functioning demand plan and actionable material planning strategy through collaboration with key internal stakeholders including supply chain, program management, operations, inventory management and finance.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding inventory positioning and program requirements to make decisions regarding the rescheduling, acceptance and cancellation of material based on the needs of the business area. Prior experience using an MRP system is a must to manage forecast requirements, as is being able to parse data from a database and create reports and presentations to help frame decisions and convey relevant information to cross-functional teams.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working directly in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with other internal teams (supply planning, procurement, overhaul/repair, finance, program management, etc.)
  • Comfortable with a 100% remote working situation
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
  • Keen problem-solving skills and an attention to detail
  • Experience with MRP systems or planning systems, preferably SAP ERP/Microsoft Dynamics 365/JD Edwards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effectively presenting findings/updates to peers, customers and management
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical assessments
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Google Charts, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience in the aerospace/defense, heavy manufacturing or large-scale CPG/FMCG industries
  • Understanding of inventory planning best practices
  • Prior experience utilizing advanced forecasting suites (Amazon AWS, Kinaxis, SAP IBP, etc.)
  • Material planning/forecasting experience, including understanding of requirements planning and basic forecasting procedures
  • Programming experience (SQL, Microsoft and Oracle, or Python strongly preferred)

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $58,200 - $111,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $67,000 - $126,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
