Medical Transcriptionist (Outpatient), Full Time, Saint Helena, Ca

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Medical transcriptionist experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certified Medical Transcriptionist: Preferred

Essential Functions:

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Prepares and maintains files, keeps records and performs other routine clerical tasks, as needed.
• Composes and types routine correspondence.
• Answers telephone, takes messages, and provides information of a routine nature. Makes appointments and serves as receptionist, as needed.
• Edits and transcribes reports for inclusion in the patient records. Uses department and organization databases to run reports as required.
