Procedural Scheduler, Full Time- Neurological And Spine Surgery Clinic

The Opportunity:
Saint Luke's Neurological and Spine Surgery Clinic is seeking a full-time Procedural Scheduler to work days as an intake specialist. In this role, you would be an important part of helping our patients receive the best care possible by assisting patients in finding the best options for their specific healthcare needs, guiding them to find individualized care options and defining the best course of treatment for quality outcomes.
Shift Details: The typical hours for this position are 8 am to 4:30 pm, but can be flexible.
The Work

• Demonstrating strong communication skills to develop and/or build rapport with the patients.
• Reviewing, in taking, triaging, and scheduling patients for appropriate services depending on outcomes found during questions and/or surveys.P
• Utilizing your prior knowledge of medical terminology and medical clerical experience to guide patients to the best treatment and forward all medical related questions to those that are qualified to provide medical advice to patients.
• Performing all duties respectfully and maintaining confidentiality of our patients.
• Working closely with other Procedural Schedulers on the close-knit team and departmental Nurse Navigator.
• Providing patients with the best options for their healthcare needs.

In this role you will have the unique opportunity of being the patient’s main phone contact so it involves a high level of customer service to both the patients and the physicians.
