Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care Intracoastal West in Jacksonville, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.


This position is for the Baptist Primary Care Intracoastal West office. The office has 1 provider. The candidate will be responsible for back office tasks for a new provider. This role includes rooming patients, obtaining vitals and handling messages. Must be comfortable talking on the phone. Candidates with at least one year Medical Assistant experience preferred.


As a Medical Assistant, You Will Be Responsible For


  • Maintains medical documentation
  • Obtains vital signs
  • Provides nursing assistance to physician
  • Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
  • Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
  • Processes prescription requests and referrals
