The Medical Office Specialist offers clinical and medical office support to physicians and surgeons. Assists in patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Performs various duties as a member of the health team in the treatment and care of patient and their families and also assists with tasks to support the unit. Participates and supports the health team in the direct patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN or MD

Roles & Responsibilities:

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED.

Certification as a Medical Assistant from an approved school. For internal MSBI applicants, the certificate requirement may be waived if the applicant has two continuous years of recent experience within Union Square.

Licensed/Credentialed as a Phlebotomist or EKG technician preferred.

American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $27.57 - $28.10 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
