Web Content Strategist & Content Developer

This is a Full-Time Remote position with a government consulting firm supporting the DoD Medical Healthcare division. Full Benefits, PTO, and Paid holidays are inclusive of the position.

REQUIREMENTS: US Citizenship, Completed Bachelor’s Degree

SALARY TARGET: $100K- $140K/YR (Salary is flexible based on the relevant years of professional experience and background)

Position Details

Role Title:Web content strategist & content developer with an understanding of content marketing

Overview:

•History of success conducting content research, including content audits, content inventories, cardsorting exercises, etc.

•History working collaboratively with UX/UI to re-design websites/pages

•History of success working with clients to collaboratively define client content strategy including content pillars, key topics/terms, content mapping by audience and objective, etc.

•Ability to set content-specific objectives and KPIs

•Past experience writing articles/content (especially listicles) for the web

•Ability to write data-driven web copy for websites and pages using plain language that is accessible and meets 508 standards

•Experience with drafting health-specific content and copy a plus

•Ability to conduct to understand audience needs, interests, and pain points to inform content planning and creation.

•Experience optimizing content for SEO performance, ensuring appropriate keyword usage, metadata, and on-page optimization.

•Experience making recommendations around content governance and content workflow processes, including the establishment of a content contributors network, a macro editorial calendar, program-specific content calendars, etc.

Ideal Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

•Proven work experience as a Web Content Strategist, Content Developer, or similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio of successful content projects.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and grammar.

•Solid understanding of content strategy, information architecture, user experience, and SEO best practices.

•Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with web publishing tools.

•Knowledge of content marketing principles and experience with content promotion and distribution.

•Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze content performance metrics and derive actionable insights.

•Understanding of content development for the purposes of supporting marketing goals and objectives
