Job Description

Job Title - Medical Editor

Duration - 12 Months Contract (high extension possibilities)

Location - 100% Remote (EST hours)


Summary:

The Digital Content Editor, Point of Care works with the Point of Care Editorial Team to copyedit Clinical Overviews and coordinate style alignment for Point of Care content.

Responsible for ensuring the editorial integrity of the Clinical Overviews and related content, including editorial policies and style guides, and managing content formats and specifications.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Other duties or tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain content of style guide, templates, and editorial policies
  • Propose enhancements of existing development processes to continuously improve content quality and timeliness and to meet customer needs.
  • Work with Image and Permission coordinators to review, correct, and approve images for Clinical Overviews
  • Attend and participate in monthly Digital Content Editorial team meetings to discuss editing challenges, best practices, workflow, and style changes.
  • Copyedit content to ensure compliance with editorial policies and style guidelines.
  • Ensure quality content and meet content delivery deadlines as set by editorial team.
  • Review content for organization and clarity and provide feedback as necessary to Medical Editors and Editor-in-Chief.


Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of editorial experience and 3 years of copyediting experience in medical publishing
  • Excellent communication, management, organizational, and editorial skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of and experience in communication with clinicians/health care professionals
