Position Summary
TheUrology Sales Consultantestablishes, builds, and maintains professional relationships with Physicians, Practice owners, Practice Manager, Staff and effectively communicates UroViu’s value proposition to all stakeholders. As an integral member of the Sales team, this position partners with cross-functional teams to communicate current market conditions and develop accounts to adopt the UroViu Platform. This position requires thorough knowledge of the endoscopy field, a demonstrated track record of launching disruptive technologies in the medical device space, and the ability to work independently.
Principal Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and credible image with key physicians, consultants, suppliers, and teammates.
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales quota for the defined area.
- Qualify, train, assess, and ultimately develop accounts to adopt the UroViu Platform as an integral part of their Cystoscopy practice with the goal of demonstrating high account adoption.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and KOLs within a defined region.
- Contribute to our culture of being collaborative, respectful, transparent, ethical, efficient, and high-achieving.
- Establish and maintain credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc) to enter and work in hospitals and other medical facilities as required by facility requirements.
- Provide support for the resolution of product complaints and/or safety issues.
- Proactively support organizational goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations, including strict compliance with UroViu’s Customer Relationship and the Sunshine Act policies.
- Work in the CRM database to input lead information and managing reporting on lead potential/performance
- Manage travel and expenses per approved budget.
- Partner closely with the Sales team, Marketing team and VP of Sales to identify and prioritize customers for higher-level corporate relationships.
- Maintain a monthly and quarterly territory plan that outlines territory sales objectives and areas of opportunity.
- Effectively communicate UroViu’s value proposition to customers.
- Partner with UroViu Clinical Education to deliver outstanding clinical and training support to ensure physicians quickly become clinically independent.
- Communicate current market conditions and recommend improvements to the commercial process.
- Provide monthly forecasts for a defined area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience Requirements
- BS/BA in Business (or related discipline); or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
- Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license issued by residing state and good driving record.
- Thorough knowledge of the field of urology and urology products and strong relationships with local urologists highly desired.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 40-60% of the time.
- Strong track record of over-delivering revenue versus sales plan.
- Successful track record of launching new and disruptive technologies.
- Office and OR experience preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities to refine business plans and sales techniques continuously with the goal of achieving maximum performance.
- Excellent negotiating skills with the ability to adapt to changing work priorities and maintain good working relationships.
- Medical Device experience required.
- Overnight travel required.
- Ability to work independently.
