POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Probe Repair Manager, the Medical Device Assembler is responsible to perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly. The role works on electronic devices to support the company repair and restore operations of Ultrasound devices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Functions)

• Self-inspects work in process and completes tasks to stay on track with work assignments and daily output goals.
• Demonstrates professionalism in all internal and external communication and demeanor
• Works from assembly instructions and uses hand and power tools, jigs, etc.
• Completes rework and modification of assemblies and devices with clear understanding of the functional operation of items being assembled.
• Collaborates with all departments as internal customers, prioritizing tasks as needed for efficiency and compliance
• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, vendors and guests
• Supports the department needs by installing components, units, sub-assemblies and repairing as needed
• Adheres to all company employment policies, including Quality and safe practices
• Performs assembly and disassembly tasks on electronic Ultrasound devices, works on subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, power supplies, frames, cables and harnesses
• Completes paperwork necessary to track jobs, inventory and quality purposes
• Works on priority assignments and conducts testing of devices when needed. Harvest and build subassemblies as needed.
• Works to disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble devices according to assembly instructions and specifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma, Certification in Biomedical Engineering preferred
• Ability to effectively an enterprise system and computer software programs
• 0-2 years’ experience in relevant experience

Other Qualifications:

• May be required to work overtime when approved.

POSITION COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Paid time off and company-paid holidays
• Competitive hourly rate in the range of $16.50 to $19.00, commensurate with experience
• Company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, life, disability, and 401k
• Schedule: M-F, 8am - 5pm
