Medical Assistant - Limited Scope X-Ray

We offer:

• 5-day work week – Monday to Friday – 8 am to 5 pm
• Starting wage range is $21.00 to $27.00 per hr.

Medical Assistant - Limited Scope X-Ray

Functions as a member of the patient care team performing medical assisting duties including:

• May be required to travel to other clinics occasionally based on staffing shortages
• Perform the imaging of basic anatomical regions such as the abdomen, chest, and head as well as the upper and lower extremities
• Ensure test and imaging quality is optimal so that physicians can properly make diagnoses
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintains X-Ray safety protocols and standards
• Performs EKGs, Spirometry, vision acuity, ear irrigation, and other tests/procedures as directed by the provider

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of a formal MA training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, required

Experience:

• Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required

Licensure:

• MA’s not certified/registered upon hire are required to complete the MA certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire. If an employee does not pass, they will be given an additional 3 months to retake the test. All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant/Limited Scope program
