Medicaid Data Analyst Jobs

Apex Systems has an intimidate need for Medicaid Data Analyst to support one of Apex’s leading Federal Government Integrator clients.

Location: 100% remote

Duration: 6-month contract to permanent

Compensation: Competitive based on years of relevant experience and education

Clearance: Public Trust

Responsibilities:

• Gather and organize information for use in supporting decision-making process.
• Extract qualitative and quantitative relationships (i.e., patterns, trends) from large amounts of data using R, Python, SAS, SPSS Modeler and other statistical tools.
• Perform data analysis and create data summaries using descriptive statistics.
• Develop, write, and present detailed technical solutions to solve open-ended business problems to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Implement open-ended data merges, data analysis plans, and perform complex data manipulation and reporting tasks.
• Collect, manipulate, analyze, evaluate, and display data using visualization tools.

Qualifications:

• Experience programming in SAS, R/Python
• Medicaid claims analysis experience both in Managed Care Organization and Fee-for- Service preferably using Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System.
• Substantial experience and understanding of advanced analytical methods (e.g., logistic regression, tree-based, or neural network classification modeling).
• A deep understanding of Medicaid policies in a handful of states.
• Substantial SQL experience for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience using MS Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of results.
