Under direction of senior level engineers, performs relatively complex work requiring independent selection and application of appropriate Engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for accomplishment of designs, design adaptions, and modifications having specific, clearly defined objectives. The level of engineering work performed usually has precedents and requires application of standard engineering techniques and knowledge, but it may involve work under direction of senior engineers on tasks relative to complex state-of-the-art areas.

Qualifications

What You Will Do:

• Assist fellow project engineers with their automation projects wherever they see fit.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and purchasing to receive parts and assemblies within the project schedule.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians, machinists, and other engineers supporting your project.
• Interfacing with customers to review specifications and establish a project timeline.
• Lead automation projects from starting concepts with the customer to installation at the customer facility. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Lead design reviews with peers and upper management with the aid of appropriately prepared documents and reports.
• Develop and incorporate custom design solutions with standard systems to fulfill customer needs.
• Offer technical support post-installation.

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to deliver successful designs on tight project timelines
• Mathematical and/or computational dexterity.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Extensive SolidWorks experience, Certified SolidWorks Associate preferred.
• A team player – Willingness to support and help other projects depending on the business need
• Good judgment coupled with an ability to select and apply appropriate resources necessary to reach sound engineering conclusions and completion of task objectives.
• A level of competence and expertise typically achieved through attainment of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 3+ years of industrial experience in the engineering discipline in the mechanical engineering field.

Working Conditions

• Occasional domestic and international travel required.
• Office environment with little, if any, exposure to adverse conditions
