Materials Planner Jobs

Cuberg, a Northvolt company and leader in next-generation battery technology, is seeking a Materials Planner to join their team. As the Materials Planner, you will play a critical role in sourcing, planning, and scheduling materials to support the rapid scaling of advanced battery production. Cuberg's groundbreaking lithium metal batteries have been validated by the U.S. Department of Energy and offer generational improvements in energy density and power output over traditional lithium-ion batteries. This technology is the key to powering the next generation of electric vehicles and aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Develop materials requirements plans based on demand forecasts and production schedules
• Participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and solve problems
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing carrying costs
• Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Source and procure materials from a global supplier base
• Maintain accurate records of materials transactions and inventory levels

Requirements

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in materials planning or a related field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, related field or equivalent in relevant experience

The San Francisco / Bay Area cash compensation (base + bonus) range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $145,000 + equity + benefits.
