JOB PURPOSE:
The Materials Management Technician - OR inventories and resupplies PAR areas in all departments (specializing in Surgical Services’ areas). Pulls surgical case carts as specified by preference card picklists. Maintains clean and functional patient care equipment in all clinical areas. In addition, the Materials Management Technician - OR helps maintain the bulk, LUM and isolation inventories by ordering, receiving, labeling, date checking, and cycle counting the supplies that flow in and out of these areas. Other duties include: management of supplies for Code, Swan Ganz, Pacemaker and Bone Marrow carts.

KEY CUSTOMERS SERVED AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clinical staff and patients are served by providing supplies and equipment for patient use in a timely manner.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION

oHigh school graduate or equivalent Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred

• EXPERIENCE

oExperience in the general operation of computers is required. Experience in the areas of healthcare supply chain and/or Surgical Services would be preferred.
